Is there a Cal-OSHA requirement that employees must be trained in First Aid and CPR?
There are several answers to that question, but let's make it easy. If your employees are required to respond to a medical emergency as part of their job description, of course the employer must provide the training. If the company performs work in the construction field then an adequate number of trained staff must be on every jobsite. If you are not in the construction field then the answer depends on how long it would take for an ambulance to arrive - if over four minutes, then an adequate number or workers must be trained. Lastly, if your business in in the health and exercise field than an adequate number of workers must be trained on all shifts.
